AUBURN INTERNET SERVICES MISSION STATEMENT High quality Internet connections: At Auburn Internet Services, Inc. we strive to provide a high quality dial-up connection to our users. We use only the highest quality equipment available to deliver the most fault free connection possible. Local fault tolerant equipment: AIS uses brand new servers that have dual redundant power supplies, as well as dual SCSI hard drives incorporating hardware “RAID”. AIS has enough battery back up to stay up for four hours before switching to a generator. Secure services: Security and privacy can be major issues. For this reason we offer such services like Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encrypted POP3. This allows our users to receive their email without fear of interception. We also do not, in any way or form, give your personal information or email addresses to any third party. Private services: At AIS your privacy is ensured. No employee or agent of AIS has access to our customers’ email. Nor do they have access to any transaction logs of what our customers have been doing or where they have been online. AIS is set up so employees cannot “snoop” customers data or other personal information. Streamlined billing services: Billing can be a hassle. At AIS we strive to keep billing simple and streamlined. Internet professional friendly: We welcome the reselling of any of our services. We promise to work well with others and make it easy to recommend us! Free Internet training: Free Internet training from 9:00AM – 10:00AM every Saturday at Computer Addiction. We promise to be honest and forthright: We know how frustrating it is to get bad and misleading information from Internet service providers. We will also keep our customers informed of scheduled system maintenance and, when possible, do maintenance after 12:00AM on weekends. Put something back into the community: Make services available to community orientated non-profit groups in our area (of our choosing.) We give refunds on unused service: If you pre-pay for a term of service with AIS, and for whatever reasons you no longer need our services, we will refund the unused portion (less account setup charge.) 100% satisfaction guaranteed: If we can’t provide good Internet service, we will give a refund (or give credit) for the period in question (at customer discretion.) If that happens in the first two months of service, we will also refund the account setup charge.
